‘I Am Trying to Remember’ competing at ZagrebDox filmfest

Iranian documentary ‘I Am Trying to Remember’ has been vying at the ZagrebDox International Documentary Film Festival in Croatia.

Iranian actress Pegah Ahangarani’s directorial experience is representing Iran at the 2022 edition of the event currently underway in Croatia.

In ‘I Am Trying to Remember’, Pegah talks about Gholam, a man who’s not like her father, mother, uncles, or aunts, even though he’s always present at family gatherings.

Gholam films the daily scenes with his own camera. At the time, Pegah can’t imagine what the purpose of these films might be, but she’s happy to pose before the lens of this family friend, who she’s certainly very fond of.

According to the official website of the ZagrebDox film festival, a total of 86 films will be presented to the audience and some of the first-time filmmakers will have the chance to screen their works.

Also, there will be some events centering on contemporary documentary cinema.

The eighteenth edition of the Croatian fest is being held on April 3-10, 2022.
